@MicroSFF You can have kidnap and blood, or rescue and blood, or kidnap, rescue and blood -- consecutively or concurrently -- but you can't have kidnap and rescue without the blood. The blood is mandatory.

@MicroSFF Hmm, aren't we all in a story though? People often view their lives like a story (or well, it's probably more the other way around, I'd guess stories are structured similarly to how we structure our memories)
