I bought one of those little #Korg Nu:Tekt oscilloscopes (the sort where you have to assemble it yourself) to use with the #Stylophone DF-8 filter. The filter doesn't have its own LFO, so I wanted something that could produce one to modulate the cutoff frequency. It's loads of fun! Pretty easy to put together, even for my middle-aged fingers, and the LFO range extends into audible frequencies. Combined with the Bandstop+ filter, you can get some really cool noises... #GearSquad #Synth #Analogue
@AndyIncarnate ah i haven't looked into those but that sounds pretty cool.
@tsrono Yeah, definitely! I was playing around setting the Bandstop+ filter about midway, then modulating it with the scope, which was really cool - you get the bottom part of the top filter peak (quite bass-ey) and the top part of the bottom filter peak (quite treble-ey). Really nice sound! I'm going to need a BPM-Hz translator though, so I can set it at the right tempo for whatever I'm doing.

@AndyIncarnate i'm not sure what could translate BPM>Hz for you tho...i've got a Blokas MIDIHub & it's pretty powerful but dunno if it can do that.

always cool pushing things into unknown/unexpected/irregular territory tho, for sure!

@AndyIncarnate
That does look like a fun little scooe! Oscilloscopes are one of those tools that are just fun to mess around with whatever you're doing, I find 😃
@krnlg Yeah, the resolution of the screen is surprisingly good. It looks quite rough in some of the pictures but it was a nice surprise when I switched it on and started playing with it. Haven't used the sound analysis mode yet, that looks interesting too!
