The other "fun" I had today was a surprise reaction test on the road as I passed over the top of a hill just to meet a slalom course of several firewood logs someone had lost in the middle of the road, nicely spread out. Had to dodge left, then right and then left again. Felt like ADAC test driver for a moment. I like to think all the hours playing Quake 3 Arena in my youth paid off in reaction time :)

The driver behind me was slower and took one log on the front left wheel, the car doing a mighty jump into the air before coming back down hard and swerving. Kept on driving. Subaru Outback 🤷

Also someone slow-motion crashing into another car on the iced over parking lot, cracking a bunch of fancy Audi plastic bumper parts that probably cost a fortune!

@mcSlibinas I wouldn't mind. I drive very carefully but it doesn't help when some knobhead in a BMW is coming the other way on your lane because he just had to overtake someone despite the white line and misjudged it.

@wedge I thought about picking them up but on the way back they were gone. Someone else beat me to it I guess :)

Firewood is currently precious with the extreme winter and lots of scalpers selling it for high prices. Pellets (highly processed firewood) are even sold out completely. Sucks if your fancy automated heating can only use those.
