I totally missed that you were giving a talk at #FOSDEM.

The GitHub slide was very good. But I also liked the slide where you give an overview of #Forgejo.

I wrote once this:

De Nederlandse overheid publiceert een deel van haar broncode als vrije opensource software. Om software te beheren is een versiebeheersysteem nodig. Hiermee kun je veranderingen in de broncode traceren en beheren. Een versiebeheersysteem faciliteert ook het samenwerken tussen verschillende software-ontwikkelaars. Een gedistribueerd versiebeheersysteem maakt het mogelijk dat ontwikkelaars op verschillende locaties toch kunnen samenwerken aan één softwareproduct. Het _de facto_ versiebeheersysteem voor software is Git.

@KingmaYpe I used @libreoffice 25.2.5.2 on @guix System. To show each bullet point separately, add the 'appear' effect to the text box.

@jos It demands individual effort & sacrifice on principle with intangible upside. I'm unsure shame is a helpful tactic here.

Would I rather be on Codeberg in principle? Yes. Do I have the resolve to spend a big chunk of my available free time this quarter working through the challenges & losses of moving on principle? Less sure. 😮‍💨

I am burning a great deal of time on principle already his year and new sources of principled "debt" seem to be appearing like an unhinged game of whac-a-mole. 🫠
