I wonder when #xcode or @fork_dev will add #codeberg into their Accounts features?
#Codeberg is great, but it can't replace #GitHub by itself. We need SDLC tools that are forge-agnostic. We engineers need to practice what we preach and build composable, well-layered, distributed and federated SCM, CI/CD, package management, and friends.
This says https://rns.recipes/forum/general/re-discontinuing-the-github-mirror #reticulum code is to be taken off #github or IP based repos. I was not able to join the discussion - was locked. Just wanted to say that github is the reference location for code (a shame, but still fact), and that I am using #radicle as a robust meshed git repo system & #codeberg so no sheep. As mirror repo codeberg/github are ok locations just to get it out & get bootstrapped. To only get the #RNS code over #rngit reticulum itself seem not beginner-friendly.

@tanavit

My understanding is that #Codeberg is for FOSS projects and does not allow closed source, especially commercial closed sourced projects (of which I'd like to have a few).

#Codeberg #IssueTracking

I am moving all my open source projects to #Codeberg. I'm not sure what to do with my private/closed source projects, maybe set up a self-hosted forgejo instance.

#Gitlab has been getting worse in the last few years, and their recent announcement means that I am no longer comfortable sticking with them

so I changed my personal website from #github pages to #codeberg and wrote a #blog post about it

The New Website

Hello everyone, and welcome to the new website! We’ve got a whole new look and some new features, as well as a new URL. Why a new site? I’ve decided to move off of github pages. As convenient as it was, I just couldn’t stay there with the way that Microsoft was shoving copilot everywhere. Github itself has had issues since Microsoft took over, and even more since they committed to putting AI in everything, so a change was needed.

I am really more efficient at fixing issues and bringing improvements to #Fedilab thanks to @HurricaneWeasel. If you think Fedilab has become more active these past months, it is obviously thanks to his precious help in managing issues. If you use #Codeberg, you might know him :)
A big thank you to you Fluffy <3
