Since I couldn’t get any connections on 433Mhz in #Vienna, let’s see if 868 MHz is busier.

The case needs some rework, screws and a paintjob and I need to flash the firmware, let’s see.
#Meshtastic #3DPrinting

@bxxb Hello, in Europe, especially in Central Europe, 868 MHz is common. Also lot of users already switched from #meshtastic to #meshcore. It is worth try. There is nice meshcore community in Bratislava (and probably also in Vienna), with good infrastructure of repeaters. And sometimes, depending on weather conditions, we also receive messages from Bratislava and even Vienna here in East Slovakia.
@malwarelab_eu @bxxb The city center of Vienna is still a bit sparse, but the outskirts sure have gotten a lot of meshcore repeaters in the last months...
@cm @malwarelab_eu Ok, I’ll swap the firmware and try that. For the Tracker I definately gonna start with Meshcore.
433 MHz near Schönbrunn was dead, but as mentioned above, that frequency doesn’t seem to be used really.
@bxxb @cm justice swapping firmware is not usually enough. Unfortunately, most of the LoRa boards can support either 433 MHz or 868 MHz bands, but not both of them simultaneously. So if you have 433 MHz board, you probably have to buy and use another board
@malwarelab_eu @cm Yep, that’s why I bought the new HW, on Meshtastic it works great, good amount of nodes etc. On Meshcore Client however I don’t get anything. The Map suggests that repeaters around me all use EU/UK (Narrow), but no luck so far.
Tried EU/UK (Long Range) too, but same. Threw out a few adverts, but no clue if that helps anything if you’re not connected to at least one repeater.
