In the original Hans Christian Anderson tale this guy is such a bag of dicks though, he’s already married and basically takes on the mermaid as a concubine even though being on land is literally physically traumatizing for her.
Yeah, animated versions of fairy tales are generally nicer, Prince Eric included.

I was thinking “burning”

“An on fire ship” feels distinctly like a child saying “timesing the numbers” instead of “multiplying the numbers”

that makes sense, they should have said “ship that is burning”
