I so badly want to see this site to take off.

If you're #ActuallyAutistic, you know just how much of a problem these things can be. For me personally, having the information about lighting and how to get service in advance would be a huge help.

@north Thank you so much for sharing this!
Every boost and share makes a huge difference!

Aut2Aut has pledged to keep prepped.to forever free, ad-free and free of any membership fees and premium tiers. It is purely a service by and for the autistic community, and the greatest hurdle to making it really useful is my limited reach.

Thanks to your post, our traffic went from 5-50 new users in one day to 180 new users yesterday, and 3 locations were added in the US 🎉

So thank you 🙏

@Gal_they @north this looks like s great idea, can I please submit a feature request?

I find zooming & panning the map fidfly on my phone. Could you add a button to go to my location at a reasonable zoom level?

Thank you 🤞

@rpbook there is currently a search field above the map. I'm planning to move it to under the map. But either way, you can just use it to find your location. Just start typing your location, and the map will zoom onto it.
I'll try to make it more prominent and clear.
@Gal_they I saw the search field, and tried searching using my postcode and a couple of street names. In all cases, I get "No locations found for ..." 🙁
@rpbook @Gal_they just to add: searching on the "Add location" page does work for me.
@rpbook Great! So now you can add a location, and in a couple of days you'll be able to find it on the homepage for when searching in your area (wink wink, nudge nudge)

@Gal_they ah, I misunderstood. I thought I could search for my location (by street, postcode, etc) on the main map.

I'd still like a way to get to my location quickly on the main map, to see if there are locations around me that have been added. I'd find that especially useful when I'm somewhere new.

@rpbook you can, but searching for region (city, country), address or zipcode in the searchbox. If there are no locations there, you will get a message that no locations were found.
I have now moved the search box to under the map and improved its visibility.
@rpbook That means that nobody uploaded location yet in your region.
We currently only have 48 locations worldwide. That's not a lot, and we need folks like you and any #ActuallyAutistc folks seeing this to add new locations, so that people can actually see locations relevant to them.
If everyone uploaded a couple of locations we are familiar with, soon enough there will be a bunch of unfamiliar locations on the website for all to prep with.
