Getting reports from my family in #Nashville and it looks like storm damage was substantial. Many old trees down. My brother still does not have power.

I won't be there again until April.

@joewynne I'm heading there tonight for my kid's U16 girls hockey tournament. Should we really be noping out?
@poleguy
I would imagine if your hotel and venue have power, you can probably get there and be fine. I would call to confirm the situation at the location from worker there, though.

@joewynne We've been told by the team that those items have been confirmed.

It's more a question about ability to get there once we hit local roads, etc.

E.g. If there are no salt trucks, or no more salt, and there are hilly roads covered with ice, or roads blocked by downed trees, even a Chicago driver with an AWD vehicle is no match.

@poleguy Try the number for TN road conditions.

@joewynne got in late last night. Roads were clear.

#Hotel hospitality was not #Greek.
Home 2 Suites by Hilton Nashville West End Avenue told us with no prior warning that no rooms were available despite our reservation that was part of a team block made months in advance.

Is this normal in the hotel industry? Is this a normal #Nashville welcome?

They blamed it vaguely on the storm.

It feels like the airline industry #greed driven over booking.

At airbnb. Athlete took a couch. Ugh.
