DuPont knew in the sixties from animal studies that the C8 they used in the production was very toxic AND bio accumulates.

In the seventies they did research on their own production workers and found that they had high blood levels of C8 and a high incidence of liver disease.

Noone in the government or public was told about any of that. And they were dumping 20 tons a year of it in the Ohio river while putting out propaganda they meticulously screened for dangerous substances.
