@fabiscafe That's indeed a very good point and a common problem: Big Tech social media has provided us state-of-the-art UI/UX for c. 2 decades "for free" (I think 50% of users still don't know or even care that their data is sold). This has created a user expectation whenever they open new apps (like @Mastodon) which is almost impossible to meet.
It unfortunately boils down to a resource problem: we need more funding, from the user base, from public institutions, from wealthy people, etc.
@fabiscafe Disagree. The Fediverse is already sexy as f... We just have to tell the ones who aren't here yet, why and how.
@jill You may want to ask @Juls about that. She made up some nice ideas a few month ago. (not all are written down there):
Ich hab an @[email protected] eine Feedback EMail geschrieben. Wo ich auch rein geschriebenen habe was ich gerne für Verbesserungen sehen möchte. Und ich möchte auch hier 2 Sachen davon Vorstellen ☺️ #Mastodon #Verbesserung #Feedback
i don't go in for this kindness begets kindness nonsense. we are currently in a war against fascists. fuck the fascists.
@richintheflow well, you can mute or block any account yourself. Moderators deal with accounts that break the rules of the server that you're using.
Some automated accounts can be useful ones, so they can be set up with an automated badge (for example, to post interesting or fun things) and you can choose to follow them, or block or ignore them.
We hope you don't get too annoyed when you're using Mastodon!
