Why does #SAP make it so hard to learn and/or teach its technology? 🤯

Since two weeks the #cloudfoundry environment on the #BTP trail is not working anymore. That means e.g. no deployment of #SAPCAP apps to the BTP trial anymore.

@Mianbsp @ceedee666 no Announcement at #SAPTechEd but an update at https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-blog-posts-by-sap/btp-trial-update-cf-runtime-availability/bc-p/14272987/highlight/true#M186479 saying it will take until next year to bring Cloud Foundry back to the #SAPBTP Trial.

The problem seems to be a massive misuse of the trials system for some unwanted activities. Fixing this seems to be difficult.

Still, the trial systems are treated as something nice to have instead as some important part of the offering. E.g. right now non of the tutorials on learning.sap.com that deploys a #CAP app to the #BTP is going to work.

@gregorw @Mianbsp @htammen Thanks for the heads up! Just in time to the end of the semester.

For my system integration lecture I switched to #apache #Camel and #Karavan in the mean time. Won't go back to teaching #SAP integration suite on a #BTP #trial. To much hassle and to many limitations...
