okay, after not getting an answer for an hour on that, I'm officially worried. does anyone have an ACTIVE way to contact wolfman2000/"dance dad" (who used to be on GDQ streams) other than their discord? I strongly suspect their account has been stolen

@0xabad1dea I received the same sudden DM from them after no contact for like 2 years. It was the old "my friends and I made a video game" shtick. I'll ask around if we have alternative means of contacting them, but I fear that account has in fact been taken over.

@tobiasgies @0xabad1dea The good news is that from what I understand of that scam, it's quite probable that the contact has not lost full control of their account.

I haven't done any diving into the executable, but because it's not blocked by 2FA, and because it involves running an executable, I suspect it's the session (and probably the computer) that have been compromised, not the account.

@Epic_Null @0xabad1dea Yeah, that's the usual way this goes. The accounts get puppeted via some app with DM permissions that used to be useful, but now had its credentials stolen.

@0xabad1dea oh no, I only ever spoke with them once, but they always seemed like a real one. Fingers crossed this is just a minor annoyance
