Because I'm curious, have a random poll. If someone posts or sends you a link to a video or song, do you click it/look at it? Feel free to boost this if you feel like it. Apologies for the limited choices, my clients won't let me go above 5. Last edit I promise, the duration was messed up. Sorry for anyone who previously voted

@Kaliah It depends on if it's something I'm remotely interested in from the title.
@Rich That makes sense. If I'm going to click one I need to be able to see what it is first, otherwise I'll just scroll by without clicking

@Kaliah

i tend to avoid links that go to youtube (don’t like the ads) and rarely listen to podcasts or talking (i can hear, but struggle to focus on spoken words)

when someone shares a music video, i usually try to find it on my subscription service (apple music), where i can download it for listening to when i’m not alone or in the mood

@Kaliah

if it's a direct send then always yes, if it's on the normal feed, mmmhh maybe.. 😅

@Kaliah

It depends on
- how they describe it
- whether I'm in the mood to stop reading and start watching/listening
- what I'm doing at the time, versus how long is the video or recording.

As for who the person is: the chances might get a boost if I particularly trust their taste, but if I don't know them at all, I still might click, just based on an interesting description.

@Kaliah Almost always, depending on what it is.

I *do* appreciate people labeling it with what it is because it saves time.

Some folks post almost exclusively music, and those I almost always will open to see what they are.

Others will post media trash and those I almost never click on. The people making *those* videos inevitably have an agenda that isn't merely "information"...they're more into "manipulation" or even just "regurgitation". I don't need any of that.

(this is assuming YouTube links - yes, YouTube is awful, but places like Spotify are worse)
