France’s top general expects ‘shock’ with Russia in 3-4 years

“The Russians are reorganizing with one goal in mind: to confront NATO.”

POLITICO

@hadon @fulelo

I don't think it's Russia that Europe needs to worry about.

@jonhendry @hadon @fulelo Europe is worried about Russia not because it's really going to invade Europe (it's not), but because if #ukraine loses the war that's the end of Western hegemony

The goal of #war will be to maintain or attempt to maintain American primacy. This will be #ww3 because you cannot go to war with billions of people without declaring it a world war and it will kick off with #iran before #russia and ultimately will include #china

#eu / #uk will sleepwalk into this for USA

@Rastal @jonhendry @hadon @fulelo well - russia is invading Europe already. Not sure from your perspective but from Finland perspective they have been doing it since 2008 already - Georgia.
@Rastal @jonhendry @hadon @fulelo and since 2014 in Ukraine. And sorry, also Moldova since 1990’s. I kind of start to see trend how Russia acts.
@jarkkoh @jonhendry @hadon @fulelo Russia has proven that with constant fighting since 2022 it still cannot take one single country. That isn't a military capable of invading Europe. And it's not as if EU has anything of value that Russia is desperate to acquire through war. Ukraine for them is strategic as a win gives them Black Sea, rare minerals, ends US primacy, makes them a rival superpower, etc. Ukraine is considerably more valuable to Russia than Europe. EU is safe from invasion.

@Rastal @jarkkoh @jonhendry @hadon @fulelo

Russia is devaluing everything, it gets its hands on. Their system of lying to the emperor destroys all forms of efficiency. And that leads to slow decrease of their wealth.

They are forced to accumulate values from others.
It doesn't matter, if Europe seems interesting to them or not. We are too rich, so they HAVE TO get their hands on our wealth.

And for a while, it seemed like we are not aware. But we realized and changed the whole calculation.

@Rastal @jonhendry @hadon @fulelo I have to say I disagree here. They (aggressive imperialists / nazis — pick your favorite for maniac like Russian ruling class) tend to play games until end. And I think they have already have clearly said they are in war with the west - not just warm yet. So - better to fight now than few years later in Helsinki/Tallinn/Warsaw any city in central/Eastern Europe. And let them spiral to North Korean…

@jarkkoh @Rastal @jonhendry @fulelo

"Despite the fact that Russia has not declared war on the West, this war is well known to Russian citizens. Russian media, opinion leaders, civilian and even military representatives of the Russian government have repeatedly stated that Russia is waging war against NATO in Ukraine. "

The Components of Russia’s Undeclared War Against the West

Russia’s undeclared war against the West is intensifying, leveraging fear, destabilisation and covert operations to undermine NATO unity and Western resilience.

@jarkkoh @Rastal @jonhendry @fulelo

Russia's war is not just military, it's an hybrid war. There's the interference in elections, disinformation, sending drones to sensible sites, setting false scenes to try to start religious or race wars. Their aim is not to invade the EU but to destroy the Union.

@Rastal @jonhendry @hadon @fulelo in 2022 you probably also thought the russia would not invade, right?
