GM looks toward abandoning Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for a proprietary platform (i.e. owned by GM and its partners).

I'll just say that taking away common platforms that I use across multiple vehicles is a VERY quick way to lose my business.

@MeKobi yup, I think that most customers want their devices to work "the same way" across their vehicles...

@wesmorgan1 assuming they do away with either system, I would stream audio from my phone to the car using Bluetooth - assuming they don't take that away. Otherwise, I'd be looking for another brand vehicle.
