Noisio Leviathan OSC from #39c3, DIY drone synth with 10 oscillators by @noisio
A pleasure to solder within 1h.

140 lines of code. The only dependencies are eeprom and progmem, to store sine wavetable constants in flash memory instead of ram.

Cookie monster!

@stmllr @noisio @ela ^^ your interest?
@levampyre Don't tempt me to get into hardware! The software side is addictive enough (and also requires a bit of hardware).
@mamsell @ela You're saying I'm digging my own grave here? Ok, ok, will stop immediately.
@levampyre @ela it might be too late 😂
@mamsell No, no, she convinced me. I really shouldn't. Don't tempt her with ribbing! @ela
@levampyre @ela my lips are sealed 🤐🤫
@mamsell @levampyre @ela nerd sniping is forbidden in this house!
@andrej Physicists are two points, mathematitions three. No, seriously. This household is super vulnerable. It's dangerous and potentially debilitating! @mamsell @ela

@mamsell @levampyre @andrej Watch my incredible self restraint!

And did you know an 8x Eurorack 500 with ADAT connection exists? You can have eight outboard analog modules connected with a single cable!

@ela @levampyre @andrej I see you literally VIBRATING with self-restraint, it is a miracle to behold 🫨
@stmllr funnily some of you makes a Leviathan out of the Levitation. This was not intended, but amuses me to some kind :) I´ve heard the name before but didn´t had an idea about the myth. The waves also nicely corresponds to the sea monster. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leviathan
For me, the starting point was the german word "Schwebungen", which is used for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beat_(acoustics) in english and "schweben" is to levitate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levitation_(physics) which I liked - listening long enough may brings you up to this.

@noisio lol Levitation makes sense regarding drone. Good point. 🤐
