Dinner last night was at #BrokenSpellLounge in the #DisneylandHotel , next to Goofy's Kitchen. I love the atmosphere in this place (We've only sat at the bar, and all of the staff are great.), and that they've added a number of items to the menu. #HolidaysBeginHere #Disneyland 1/3
But this night, the draw was the new item added for the holiday season - shepherd's pie with beef short ribs, mashed potatoes, vegetables, lemon zest and demi-glace. It was as delicious as I'd expected. I love shepherd's pie generally, but the elevation of the dish by using beef short ribs instead of just ground beef made it really incredible. Such amazing flavor and texture all around. 2/3

We started with the toasted quinoa and baby kale salad with persian cucumber, dried cranberries, blueberries, almonds, and meyer lemon vinaigrette. I like kale generally, but it can be a bit rough when it's raw. Baby kale doesn't have the same roughness, and I'd love for more places to have that in salads.
