Today, we’re looking at another tiny car from Daihatsu, one of the smaller Japanese manufacturers. Daihatsu has long been within the orbit of Toyota and is now owned by the larger company. Unlike yesterday’s Copen, the Terios mini-SUV (here, the first generation model built from 1997) was too big to be a kei car but had a smaller kei sister, the Terios Kid. I saw this one locally in February.

@davidwilkins my mum had a three cylinder Mira, it was a fun car to drive and the little engine sounded cool when you thrashed it, as you had to.

@davidwilkins test drove one of the uk ones back in the day. Iirc quite scary at uk speeds with bouncy unsettled ride with over light steering which had absolutely no feeling. I think we settled on a Yaris Verso.
