@phosh I think android now uses the area also to show some minimal notifications (or the camera shape for indicating that is active), so could be more precise about the cuts shapes (E.g. rounded shapes) and allow to do something similar?
Guido Günther@3v1n0 @phosh There's nothing preventing us from adding more shapes as follow ups should that be needed. As elements have an id we can also add optional events that give additional information for a bounding box. Given the timeframe it takes to land a Wayland protocol I'd would very much like to land an initial version though first as it breaks a large problem into a set of smaller one that can be addressed incrementally.
