Every once in a while I make the mistake of logging in to Facebook.

Every time, without fail, the feed shows me a mix of straight up gore, AI slop, and MAGA-fied memes featuring Homestar Runner characters.

Facebook is an incredibly f*cked up place, it is of no practical use to anyone, and it should be forcibly shut down.

@gardiner_bryant that is ALL it has become. It doesn't show friends content or groups I'm in anymore. Just AI pictures and video. Makes it easy to stay off the platform.

@gardiner_bryant This happens on other legacy social media, Twitter, YouTube, and Reddit included.

While I'm not for slop that's out there, I do like generating things using AI myself (I'm a Stable Diffusion kinda guy for AI-genned art).
