Drivers switch went about as well as I could have expected: failed to boot to GUI, then I banged my head against the wall for a while before finding a lingering xorg.conf I swore I'd deleted, then everything just worked!

Trying to get #QEMU #KVM VM working today with #SingleGPUPassthrough . The VM itself is already set up, I just need to configure passing the GPU to the guest and installing drivers

Judge says White House ballroom construction can't begin above ground

President Donald Trump has railed against a federal judge’s decision that continues to block above-ground construction of a $400 million White House ballroom. The decision on Thursday allows only below-ground work on a bunker and other “national security facilities” at the site. U.S. District Judge Richard Leon in Washington issued his latest ruling Thursday in a lawsuit over the ballroom project several days after an appeals court instructed him to reconsider the possible national security implications of stopping construction. Leon said he is ordering a stop only to the above-ground construction of the planned ballroom, apart from any work needed to cover or secure that part of the project.

Another reason to hate #Apple We're seeing more 2018+ MacBook Pro/Air donations — but Apple's T2 chip means even after iCloud sign-out and reset, the firmware stays locked to the original account.

Without donor contact, these machines are useless. :(

I've upcycled ~1,000 older Macs, but T2 era machines will end that. It's controlling, creates e-waste, and will only get worse. #righttorepair matters — Apple couldn't care less.
