Do you know how much Spotify pays to artists on that platform? Do you know Spotify uses that same music to train AI to generate music that produces only profits for the platform?

Some artists make much more money from concerts and venues than from albums, they could release those for free if the wanted. As George Michael was trying to prove when he sued Sony.

@aronkvh i imagine if listeners took that money they would have paid to spotify and used it to buy one album a month on bandcamp or donated it to artists over ko.fi or a similar platform instead, then more money would flow to the artists.

@LibiusPoke @louisc Anna's archive is a piracy site. If you want artists to be paid, go to their website and buy albums there, go to concerts etc.. they earn 0.003€ per stream on Spotify.
