#WordWeavers 20Decโ€”What's the first thing readers learn about your antagonist?

Readers first meet book four's lead antagonist in book one. At that time, they learn that despite his good looks, money, and position of power, he's an arrogant, womanizing prick.

Don't worry, justice is served.

@SJHoodlet so looking forward to justice

Matthew gets to be lead? ๐Ÿคฌ

@crcollins Guess it was impossible to keep this "secret" forever. ๐Ÿ˜…

Yes, Matthew's a lead antagonist. He's one of three (two are known to readers), who are working together to "get revenge" for what happens at the end of book three.

@SJHoodlet

Oops! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Was that supposed to be a surprise? Sorry. ๐Ÿฅบ I was hoping he'd be long gone by Book 4. Although I get it, why let go of such great potential for nastiness? I hate letting any of my worst antagonists go ๐Ÿคฃ

@crcollins It's not really a secret. I've been hinting at it for a while, but I've never called it out directly. When I create the blurb next month, I'll have to decide if I want to name him directly, or keep it vague.

Anyway, I was also hoping he'd be gone by book 4. But given his disdain for magic (hinted at in earlier books), it was too good an opportunity to pass up. Plus, I really enjoyed watching his downfall. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
