After nearly 1 million words written, my husband decided it was time for me to get a new laptop! (To be fair, the index finger locator nubs were basically worn to nothing, and the rose gold finish under my wrists was rubbed away... 😅)

Anyway, with a new laptop also comes new stickers! 🥳

I only had the bottom right sticker before, but my husband got me several others (he's such a stud). Which one is your favorite?

#ScribesAndMakers 28Mar—Does your day job (past or present) influence your creativity?

My past job only ever influenced one thing about my creativity: antagonists. 😈

Frühling in Jena und ich liebe es. Davon bekomme ich jedes Jahr aufs Neue nicht genug. 🥰

27th Mar 2026. If you had to pick one, would you say writing is a more exciting or cathartic process for you?

I find the process of creation to be exciting, and completion to be cathartic.

#ScribesAndMakers 27Mar—What's a book that made you see the world differently? How?

There have been many over the years, for different reasons. The one most recently would have to be There Are Rivers In The Sky, by Elif Shafak.

I have an environmental science degree, but the poetic way she writes about environmental justice—through the history of a raindrop—was particularly moving. Truly a masterpiece, IMO.

#WritersCoffeeClub 27Mar—If you had to pick one, would you say writing is a more exciting or cathartic process for you?

I don't think the two are mutually exclusive.

That being said, both have been true at some point during my writing career. At first, it was more cathartic. I needed an escape, from reality and work. After I left my job, it quickly became more exciting.

But it's still both. As a HSP and empath, expressing my emotions through writing IS cathartic, even when it's exciting.

Vom Kirschblütenpfad kann ich hiermit berichten, dass es angefangen hat! 🌸 #bloomscrolling
