Listening to Fear of a Black Dragon talking about "Something Rotten in Kislev", a Warhammer RPG module from 1988.

As with their other episodes on The Enemy Within campaign, I found it interesting, but ultimately not the kind of text I want to try and run.

Something Rotten in Kislev

Fear of a Black Dragon is hosted by Tom McGrenery and Jason Cordova, with production by Rich Rogers.

THE GAUNTLET

On the other hand, it's really interesting the way the modules have a focus on advising the GM on how to roleplay the various NPCs. Not a thing I've seen much of in the OSR scene.

E.g. "things to say that are punchy but interesting", "here's how you can keep reintroducing this cool NPC into the story if your players really like them"

Slumbering Ursine Dunes comes to mind with its "how the big ticket NPCs talk" but it's brief compared to these modules.
