I'm starting this Cycle tread now.... Hopefully I'll keep it up to date frequently... 2 month back I decided to do an all kerala cycle trip border to border.

So from Border beach in KSD to the southermost tip of Kerala. I had annouced about the same and found 2-3 interested soul that gave unconfirmed replies that they'll be joining me.

I'm planning a 2 week long journey that's very slow paced along the beachsides of Kerala. Goal is to explore the costal essense : )

My estimated date for doing the trip is early / mid November. I need to build myself (mostly just stamina). and also peak my cycle for this trip. Lotta planning, and effort has to go into this.. I need to travel extremely light, prolly just one backpack.. will Keep Y'all posted on how this goes. : )

damn. it's just 1 more month till the trip... I still have a long way to go and seems like I've conflicting plans coming with more priority.. might push the trip to december as I'd have to spend a bit more time at aristocrats HQ.

Got my end sem timetable and my exams will only be over by nov 28. Def gotta push the trip to December. Maybe time it around Christmas ig ??

Yep. All done.. and here goes.. after a while My cycle is up at shop to get renovated to prepare for the long ride. As I had mentioned earlier in the thread my original plan was to go solo. But rn, it seems Swathi is gonna join me... tried pushing him away but damn, bro is adamant. Hoping to get the cycle renewed, regreased and repainted by this December 5th. Will Keep Y'all posted on how things will go. : P

Speakin' off. Swathi's Bike was renovated. and meh.. Love my rockrider and I prefer mine to his.. gonna go take my bike today.. :" )will post pics..

Good as new ?? No arguably better. I spend 50% of the original cost of buying this cycle to renovate it to this condition. ( I hope I'd get to do the same for all the vehicle I own. Repair over Replace anyday all day.. : P... Hoping to have fun with this bad boy covering all the beaches in kerala : ) ( almost... I did preliminary mapping and there are a few obstacles ) will share the final map once I'm done. : p

@_Y___h , I have the same cycle as you, red rockrider st20. I've added gears (12-34) to it later from a shop in Kochi.
Huge respect for you, since you are doing it on a single gear.

@abhijith I never owned a gearcycle. I've seen my peers havin' em and I personally feel it's doubling the maintenance cost and effort... Like arch linux I like to keep my cycle also simple and stupid : P

@abhijith also keepin' the seat to the absolute possible maximum height will help get more torque ( it's basically all time cyclin' with standing )
