but why still require docker (only officially supported/documented way) if care about efficiency and "complex tech stacks"?

@janek @OpenCloud We would love to support bare metal. But we learned that most people expect Docker. The problem is scope. Every officially supported deployment method has to be documented, tested and validated for every release. That effort multiplies fast. So we chose containers. Not because they are perfect, but because we have to focus somewhere.
