Ian Kluft ✅✈️🎈🌋I wasn't even trying to go planespotting at the moment. But a look out the window caught a Cathay Pacific 747-8F freighter going by on final approach to PDX. These come in 2-3 times per week, all from LAX. I noticed they file 3 flight plans every time with different flight numbers, but only fly one of them. I'm guessing they use one that best fits the time it took to load the plane. Kinda weird. But Portland has a reputation for weird too. #aviation #avgeek #KPDX #PNW
AI6YR Ben@ai6yr Use your favorite flight tracking app, or whatever works. FlightAware has a "flight finder" search function for all flights between 2 airports, which can be narrowed down to one or more airlines.
When it's an uncommon airline/aircraft combo for the airport, my @JetTip subscription alerts me. i.e. BOE844 787-9 coming around 1:53pm from PAE to PDX for painting.
