Apparently, Cloudflare is doing yearly wrapped emails now and mine read as:

> You had 7 outages and your app/website was down 13 hours. πŸ˜’

Seriously?

@nixCraft 7 of those outages were caused by CloudFlare

@nixCraft ahaha please return the favor, they've had 7 of their own this year, totalling 6+ hours, literally just edit the email and send it back

(and if it's a noreply address, consider adding something like pr@ or an alike public address, but you didn't get that idea from me >.>)

@nixCraft
I mean, at least theyre funny. Why do people still use cloudflare again?
@haui I use the free tier of cf because the infra to handle all the traffic I need would cost me more than 100€/mo, on a website without ads. I would love to have viable alternatives, but I guess any alternative would receive the same hate when it gets big.
@nixCraft
@ciencia I'm not blaming you, as you undeniably work under capitalist circumstances. I could also scale my services 100x if I just used corpo services. To quote every article on chinas successes: "But at what cost?!"
@nixCraft how many of these has been by clownflare itself?
@nixCraft I genuinely can't tell if this is satire or not haha

@nixCraft
Your app/website wasn't down 13 hours? Lucky you; a lot of the world wasn't so lucky.

Oh, you were being sarcastic, I see.

@nixCraft 13/13 hours of the downtime was CloudFlareβ€˜s own fault.
@nixCraft This is 99.85% avail, which is pretty good for a web site behind Cloudflare 😏!
Jokes aside, the question is what would have been the uptime without Cloudflare, fighting DDoS, AI crawlers and other PITAs of the Internet?
@nixCraft That's why I mirror critical stuff on Hetzner. Cloudflare's great till it isn't.
