Is there a setting to get rid of this blurred crap and just get a toolbar back in Mail? Safari blurs the crap too, but for some reason Mail has the email subject as floating white letters and will often just forget to the blur the top part. Not to mention you can see the stupid line where the effect starts. Garbage interface.

@joesteel

No one will admit that the only practical purpose for this type of interface is for AR, and that is exactly what he will do at meta.

The hot mess of liquid glass is also partially dependent on no developers wanting to code for vision OS, so they forced all of the developers to go that route.

@joesteel interesting. On iOS 26.1 I don’t see the subject line at the top.
@edmn I’m on 26.1
@joesteel @edmn I don’t have a visible subject line when scrolling away from the top either, and I can’t find a setting that would obviously enable that. I guess it’s a bug/massive levels of jank rather than something intended.
@joesteel Reduce transparency works but then the entire OS looks like absolute garbage
@nileane @joesteel Unlike the bastion of good design it is before turning that on
@robb @joesteel it looks *even more* like absolute garbage lol
@joesteel The dark colored gradient used everywhere in the 26 OSes to prop up the blur really gets me. Makes everything look smudged and dirty
