You can always depend on the Murdochs to have the worst takes.

@georgetakei

When an ambulance needs to pass through a street in Spain, cars automatically move out of the way. It doesn't matter if they have to drive onto the sidewalk or across a street going the wrong way. Delaying an ambulance could mean someone dies. Seeing an ambulance stuck in traffic is the greatest symbol of selfishness and self-centeredness imaginable.

@Jesus_M_Ventura @georgetakei while I wholeheartedly agree with the spirit of this and while I'm also constantly embarrassed and outraged at my neighbors in the road for not doing better... in many places here, there is nowhere to go. The gridlock can stretch blocks in every direction with crosswalks and sidewalks more filled than the streey and with parked cars lining the street, sometimes separating busy bike lanes.

The only solution here is less cars on the road.

@georgetakei Well, except for the NYT. There isn’t a boot on earth the Sulzbergers won’t lick if there’s any chance at all it might otherwise evict them from their catbird seat….
@georgetakei And that photo has to be at least 20 years old. It shows a Mercedes from the 1980s, a Dodge Ram Van that ended production in 2003, and a whole bunch of Ford Crown Vic taxicabs, which ended production in 2011.
@vwestlife @georgetakei Yeah, can't be recent because it has reasonably sized cars on it
@georgetakei Mamdani does not need to wage a war on drivers. Anyone who has ever been to Manhattan knows that the city itself is a war on drivers.
