Many of you in IT should find this flowchart very helpful.

@cmccullough @amin

I'm very much joking when I say this, but I think it would be peak irony if that flowchart were AI generated πŸ˜‚

"I wanted to argue against AI, but I didn't want to have to take the time to make the chart myself, yknow?"

@pixx @amin LOL!!!!! OMG! I am going to look into this to see if it was AI generated. πŸ˜‚

Solar Panels

xkcd

@amin @cmccullough i think that flowchart actually argues _against_ what Randall says in the alt text, though.

"Should I put solar panels on the roof?"

Probably not. There's empty space nearby that doesn't have a house in it, put it there instead.

[I actually think that, where that's an option, it's a very, very reasonable argument, too: it's safer [no rooftop work!], easier, makes maintenance/cleaning _much_ easier, and cheaper [less labor!]]

@pixx @cmccullough

Sure, if you have empty, unused space near your house. My family doesn't.

@amin @cmccullough

... there's an "If" missing before the "There's empty space" πŸ˜‚

@cmccullough @pixx

This, though, is the most relevant to this post: https://xkcd.com/2267/

Why did I take such a circuitous path? Because I wanted to show off some of my favorite xkcd strips.

I approve of this.

#FreeBSD

@rl_dane @cmccullough @pixx

I thought you'd like that. Enough to ignore the implication that it takes six drinks for installing FreeBSD to seem like a good idea, ;)

Also, read the title text. πŸ˜‚

Honestly, Bob's got a lot better UI/UX than most new stuff nowadays. XD

@cmccullough this flowchart is missing a decision box that would require me to use AI to efficiently follow this flowchart. So, please add such a box along with a link to the prescribed AI engine to use (:
@cmccullough That is everything, in one small, simple meme!πŸ˜‰
@cmccullough actually no. But I suppose the people in management need this
@cmccullough @Veronicavd I think IT management needs this more than the workers do!
@cmccullough If you can proceed without an AI then proceed without an AI.
@cmccullough Tell that to my managers and colleagues who’ll try anything to not do the part of the job that they find most fun.
@cmccullough I'm guessing that's Artificial Inanity (AI)? πŸ˜€
