@Bibliothecaris @SURF seems very snappy, I guess you have a huge fibre connection,I remember some experiments with streaming via bitorrent, I guess most people wouldn't want a lot of video cached on their home pc,especially if they were legally responsible for it, the self hosting model seems good for academia, the english youtuber "ally law" began hosting his own video after youtube demonetised him for doing illegal things,finding a model that works for individual filmakers is more challenging
