Da es sonst keiner zu machen scheint, hier mal eine Info: Es gibt Gespräche im Hintergrund wie man das ganze #39C3 Photo Policy Thema mit #CreatureChroniCles richten kann. Ich geb mir auch Mühe da Vorschläge zu machen wie man das gut umsetzen kann. Ich kann zwar nichts versprechen, kann aber sagen, dass ich den Eindruck habe das der Kritik und den Vorschlägen zugehört wird.

Daher ein Vorschlag: Haltet mal ein paar Tage die Füße still. Da kommt noch was. Hoffentlich was gutes.

tl;dr; Das Projekt wird nach altbewährter Foto-Policy stattfinden. Sprich, keine Fotos ohne vorher alle Menschen im Bild zu fragen.

Bin sehr happy wie wir das jetzt gemeinsam besser machen konnten.

39C3 – Creature ChroniCles Update

TL;DR Was sich ändert in Kurzform: Die sehr eindeutige Resonanz auf die Ausnahme hat ergeben, dass das Projekt Creature ChroniCles nach altbekannter Foto-Policy geregelt sein wird. Es wird also vor jeder Aufnahme um das Einverständnis aller Beteiligten gebeten. Creature ChroniCles reloaded Im Pre-Congress-Stress gehen leider manchmal Dinge und Details unter, die für einen selbst selbstverständlich scheinen, für andere aber alles andere als klar und eindeutig sind. Das ist uns beim Blog-Artikel zum Projekt „Creature ChroniCles“ passiert. Wir waren zu sehr in unserer Innensicht gefangen. Die meisten von uns kennen Stella gut, und aus dieser Perspektive sahen wir kein Problem mit ihrem Projekt.

@leah I don't like the wording of the update, it suggests to me that the organisers still misunderstand the concerns, and one paragraph in particular gives off the vibe that the organisers are pissed off at the backlash.
The update sounds like "if only you would have trusted...".
Giving an exception to one person handpicked by the organisers when so many people value the rule is never okay. At all.
Giving such exception without announcing the exception before people get a chance to take it into account when making financial commitments is even worse.
Giving such exception without asking the community first also gives off the vibe that the organisers don't care, and want things done their way.
And then there's the paragraph near the end that mentions that, despite the existing policy, some people still take photos. That paragraph, in such a context, feels like "well photos were taken anyway so you were stupid for not letting us give an exception".
Overall, I'm happy with the change, but I'm not happy that it feels like the organisers aren't "oh heck, how did we miss this obvious thing", but instead "these fucking people man, not letting us have our way..."
