If you're a filmmaker here's a silly idea:

Shoot 2 different versions of your film with major divergences (key plot points being different, different key characters dying, tone of the film being completely different - one very serious, one full of dark humor etc) and have the versions silently be screened simultaneously in cycles so people never know which one they are gonna get.
For example people going to the theater at 18:00 would see v1 but people viewing at 20:00 would see v2.

@unfa
I know it's not quite the same but I remember the original Paranormal Activites had a bunch of different endings depending on what theatre you saw it at.
@unfa
I'm guessing getting major cinemas networks on board with this would be difficult, so it'd have to be limited to the small connessieur cinemas.
@unfa Joke is on you - they do it all the time: They go even further and use different actors and crew, they even use different NAMES 😉 😝
@unfa …not sure how I would react. It is a wonky Idea that probably only works if there is a key idea holding the different versions together – but you would still have to create, watch (and pay) for two movies…
@unfa Clue (1985) had one of three different endings depending on which showing you attended
@unfa
Or maybe we could come up with a completely new kind of movies where people would interact and influence the story.
They could be named "video games". 😉
