Though I will say, much as I love the CBC and can’t imagine how miserable it must have been to watch this on—for example—NBC…
The opening ceremonies REALLY don’t need running commentary, especially anyhing remotely jokey or ironic.

Pop in with occasional factual tidbits necessary for the viewers’ understanding, and otherwise just let the show speak for itself. They’ve worked so hard on this, I don’t need you gabbing over it.

Woke myself up mid dream. 2am in the morning. I had designed a new intricate series of game mechanics in the dream.

I still remembered it. Currently coding it out to see if it works like it did in the dream. Seems promising so far.
