I've wanted to love KMail for so many years, but every time I try it, it's just missing so much stuff that I use daily. Labels. Conversations view. Filters.

I'm curious how Merkuro (sp?) is going. It was a rather nice calendar app that apparently added email, so there's hope there.

For the moment though I'm stuck on Thunderbird even if it maddeningly and mystifyingly chooses to not let you use filters outside of the root email folder.

I can't believe that FOSS / Linux actually nailed video editing and gaming -two areas once thought impossible - before getting a decent email app.

I wonder whatever happened to KDE Raven?

@Blort @aks I want to give up on Thunderbird and try out #KMail, but it doesn't look *good* to me... The UI isn’t very inviting, and the text is rather small.

Also, it is missing Mail Merge (#Thunderbird too but at least there is an add-on for that)

@Blort @aks @espidev worked on Raven for a bit but sadly like lots of us in FOSS lack the time to work on all the things we'd like.
