I worried the long badge line at U-Con would make me late to my first game, but I made it with five minutes to spare. The #gamemaster didn't make it at all. Friday games (especially #OSR games) at this #gameconvention get cancelled more often they get played.
U-Con has hung up a quilt made of old #gameconvention t-shirts in the corner of the convention center lobby. Is this supposed to be a #selfie station? You've gotta work on your social media strategy, U-Con!
The convention center added #pizza to the U-Con menu this year. If you liked the pizza your high school cafeteria served, you'll love it.
Guy sitting next to me in an #ADnD game at U-Con thinks I'm a #wristwatch guy because I'm wearing a Casio calculator watch. I'm really just a guy who never got over his parents's refusal to buy him a calculator watch in middle school.
cricket_baconWould have to say I really enjoyed wearing my Casio CA-50 calculator watch in my early days of high school. Eventually I learned that if I wanted to get a date to the dance, I would have to stop wearing it (as well as stop exchanging pirated floppy discs of Apple ][ games and discontinue my participation in D&D). It was different times back then. A young man had to make choices. ;-)
