I was mildly tempted to pick up a hard copy of OSRIC 3, but the PoD tome is $90. The pdf is free. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I mean, I can get hardcover reprints of all three AD&D core books for $69 from wizards.

Thanks to the AD&D DM’s Guide, I know that 16 gnomes can work at once on a ten foot wide tunnel through hard rock and can excavate 480 cubic feet in an 8 hour shift.

I won’t count how many times this has come up in my games.

Poking around the AD&D GM’s Guide definitely has advice I feel is very counter to a lot of neo-old school thinking.

“The final word, then, is the game. Read how and why the system is as if is, follow the parameters, and then cut portions as needed to maintain excitement.”

First day of our #osr mini con #PinkPonyOfDeath - playtested my Liminal Horror module „Nachzehrer“, played in an #Adnd tournament module, and met many lovely people - among them some folks from the #Valravn open table which I met for the first time in-person While games of #Adnd #odnd and #Mothership continue, I’m heading to a nearby bar with some PPoD folks.
