@jodmentum thank you! i know what i am having for dinner, now!
i do it in a large glass lidded bowl thingy. given it is braising in there, there's not a lot of advantage to something iron. my only advice would be "big enough for the roast" but "not too big for the oven". if you can't accommodate that then you need to rein in the size of your roast!!!
this is my favourite. an italian version. the sauce once it is all whizzed up... is glorious!
and it fits easily within a lidded glass roasting bowl!
