@N4JAW Jim, this sure brings back a lot of memories. My first rig was also an HW-8. I built mine in the summer of 1979 before I was licensed. I spent many hours listening to W1AW code practice on it before I got my license the next spring. I worked a ton of DX with this little radio and it made me into a lifetime CW op and QRPer. I still have mine, though it got packed away in a box a few years ago when I remodeled the shack. I’ll have to dig it out and make some QSOs. Thanks! 72 de Mike VE3WMB
