Did I mention IC reversing is absolute crack for AuDHD brains?

I should probably put down the EEPROM, at least for a while, and move on to other stuff. But I'm having too much fun.

This is the dangerous part, and the part I have the most trouble with... the problem is so big you'll *never* be done (especially doing it manually without any automation, figuring out what each cell is by hand, etc).

There's always more to discover. Nerd sniping to the 20th power.

@choofa yes but if you're neurotypical, it's probably more of "fun thing to do" than "literally can't walk away from it"

@azonenberg True. I’m just thankful this super power manifested as an interest in tech and I didn’t land on being overly into reversing out ancient pottery.

@choofa Oh, for sure lol.

I just wish the Big Boy reversing tools didn't cost so much. I would *love* a seat of the tool I use at work for these fun projects, rather than doing all my netlist extractions in GIMP.

But a one-year seat probably costs close to my annual salary so... not happening :p

@azonenberg @choofa I could swear a few years back I saw some FOSS tool. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's not in the same class as the Big Boy tools and it wasn't that far off gimp/inkscape just with a bunch of "quality of life" improvements to make it a bit faster.

But who knows ... maybe it was in a dream 😅

@tnt @choofa degate? Last time i tried it segfaulted as soon as i... I forget if it was adding an image or drawing a polygon but some super basic operation
