Hmm, is it wrong to use 1/8 inch paracord (which I already own in scads) instead of 1/8 inch cotton welt cord for my furniture reupholstering? 🤔 #furniture #reupholstering #sewing
Or do I buy 450 yards of that stuff from Wawak for $38 (8 cents per yard), and then just resell 10 yards at a time for $12 ($1.20 per yard) on eBay and make up my investment if I sell 40 yards?
@ai6yr We ended up buying a huge spool of bungee cord because the whole thing was less than buying Just Enough. I'm thinking of using it to replace the failing webbing on some outdoor chairs. Have also alerted the neighbors to ask us before thinking of buying any for themselves.
@sbourne Oooh, would this work for bungee cords? Can I send you some $ and get some? I need to replace the elastic in about a dozen bungee cords, and finding anyone who sells small amounts of bungee cord was like you describe, stupidly expensive in small quantities...
@ai6yr It's kind of skinny - for replacing the cords on kayaks.
@sbourne Ah, the small stuff! Yeah, that won't work. I may end up doing what you did and buying a gawdawful amount of bungee on a spool LOL. Such a pain that you can't buy stuff in small quantities nowadays.
@ai6yr The really scary thing is that we may end up finding ways to use it all. Stretchy cord makes great gifts, right? 😂
@sbourne Knitted bags! Knitted hats! LOL
@ai6yr Those hats won't blow off in a strong wind - genius!!!
