💸 Did you know about the guy who wanted to become a millionaire, so he made a website with 1000 × 1000 pixels and then sold them for 1$ each?

That guy is so savage, he made a million dollars from it and still can't be bothered to pay for an SSL certificate 😋

@bornach @madeindex well I wish they didn't have that crypto stuff. Virtual economies are so unpredictable. I'm not an expert in crypto but I am very familiar with virtual / digital economies having been a developer and player of a MUD for years. Whereas real currency is backed by gold the cryptocurrency is not. I don't know if I'm supposed to feel sorry for people who have lost a lot from it but I don't. I hope it never is backed by gold. Thanks for the video. It seems interesting.
@madeindex thanks! No I didn't know about it. Sounds like a patent troll. I'm reminded of some company trying to patent floating point arithmetic related algorithms. Ridiculous. If they had succeeded it would be a dangerous precedent. Frankly medicine and scientific and mathematical discoveries should never be patented. And yet...pharmacology is an example that is more complicated. But those are not actually discoveries per se.
@madeindex and as for the cert issue it's even more ridiculous since there is now Let's Encrypt. Also at least one of the sites (just checked) is 'expired'. Thanks for sharing this.
