Just so you know, we need to push back against privacy-invasive regulations.
Each and every time.
Shrugging and using a VPN will not save you. They will come for the VPNs next.
Then the ISPs.
Then more.
Pushing against unjust laws matters.
The tools alone will not save you in the long run.

I use a VPN at all times, and I see it as only one tool, and frankly, I use it for reasons that have nothing to do with anonymity.
I use it whenever I visit a site, where I already have an account, that's already tied to my real world identity; my anonymity is totally negated in that context; they don't need my IP address; they already have my real name.
At this point, I just don't want someone to be able to DDoS me and/or my site, honestly. All it would take would be for some random person to get pissed, and learn my IP address, and blow up my router. I realize this is probably an uncommon reason for using a VPN, and probably an unrealistic fear to have, and I don't care. I expose this site through Cloudflare Tunnel anyway, and that theoretically should be enough, and there's still no reason why I wouldn't also use a VPN anyway.
I don't always have a reason to care if they know who I am; I just don't want my router to explode.
No need to use a VPN when an automatic AI screen recorder can do all for you since everyone upgrades to windows 11.
@Em0nM4stodon in Sweden the ISP are already compromised. They need to keep extensive metadata. And I don't see that getting any better.
Phone carriers are used all the time to spy on citizens.
We can not let it become worse. Fight in any way you can!

@Em0nM4stodon Agreed. Privacy is something important, something to fight for. If not, they will find ways and use it against you. They always do (penalties, price hikes for insurances.. you know).
And this is another trick they are trying to pull..
