@PavelASamsonov If I see a black cat, I do what I always do when I see any cat:

I stop and say, "Hello cat." (Or the cat's name if available.) And then I wait and see if it likes me. If it approaches me, I extend my hand. And if I'm lucky, I get to pet the cat.

@PavelASamsonov A few months ago, a black kitten crossed my path while I was walking near a parking garage at a local mall. She seemed hungry.

The cat distribution system works. I now have a 6-month-old chaos void living in my house.

Also also holds true for grey cats trying to slip past you into the kitchen and often, oh so often, flicking the tip of their tail into the slit between the door and the wall, you know the one, there are hinges there and it tends to disappear as the cat goes "MEOOWWWWW!" @PavelASamsonov

@PavelASamsonov I saw a black cat jump onto the light rail car I was in a couple years ago. The cat rode two stops then got off. I had a great day; not so sure about the cat.
