How difficult can it be to find a 2.5 to 3.5 hdd mounting bracket which lines up the sata connector on the 2.5 to where the 3.5 is?

I want to use it in a hot-swap tray, but the brackets I find will center the 2.5 disk, causing the connector to be offset to the center.

@simendsjo Not sure if this is what you're looking for. It sounds like you might just be trying to find a mount so that the 2.5 just connects directly to the host connector...

@akmartinez thanks! Something like this looks suitable. I would like to avoid additional electronics, but it's a lot better than my current MacGyver solution.

@simendsjo I printed one way back when but didn't have to be picky about the alignment. I assume somebody must have an offset design available too.

@simendsjo I've had good luck with Dell adapters - look for the 9W8C4 or 09W8C4.
