@fedora man, absolutely everyone seems to be talking about these atomic/image based desktops (I don't know the difference) nowadays. I really want to give them a go sometime. On the other hand, the fact that apparently very fundamental changes are still being made (like shift to bootc) makes me think they're not entirely mature yet.

@maltimore @fedora if you do give them a go I recommend something from the universal blue family which best suits your usecase. It takes a lot of the rouge edges out of fedora atomic.

Bluefin: Gnome
Aurora: KDE
Bazzite: gaming focused with your choice of gnome or kde

@fedora @gnome is there a spin that still has xorg?
@Cassman @fedora @gnome Not on GNOME
@levi @fedora @gnome
what about KDE?
Or xfce?
@Cassman Xorg is still supported on these, but you don't want to use Xorg, it's unmaintained, I heard that a fork called Xlibre is a continuation of it.. I'm sure a lot of distros has already switched to that
@Cassman @levi @fedora @gnome KDE is also dropping X11 support. I think some of the other spins like MATE and maybe xfce but its not clear how long that's going to last. I don't know your specific use case, but I strongly recommend switching. Wayland had matured to a state that it has become way better than X11 ever was, even on Nvidia GPus.

@fedora @gnome

El día ha llegado! No hay más X11! 🎉

@fedora @gnome Can anyone give me information? I'm on Fedora 43 and the Search Light extension is not appearing the magnifying glass icon. System was installed from scratch, standard theme. Only the icon itself, the extension is working.

@fedora @gnome

I like Fedora, use Fedora daily. But What I don't like is AI. IF you bring AI into Fedora then I'll change distro
