Nordic keyboards have a special key for my current mood ...

@Natasha_Jay Feeling really off but also a little bit silly (hence the hat)? 🤔

@Natanox @Natasha_Jay

Mood: Surprise birthday party, but you were planning to have a quiet evening alone.

@Natasha_Jay Is that the cross-country skiing key?
@Natasha_Jay
Thanks, now I can't unsee it!
@Natasha_Jay That's classic :)
@Natasha_Jay
The wiz of uncertanty
@Natasha_Jay It's the Mouse Key!!
@Natasha_Jay hold it upside down and it becomes the spy from spy vs spy (not telling you which spy from spy vs spy i mean)
@Natasha_Jay on german keyboards we have very happy and very astounded.
@Natasha_Jay I have that key, but unfortunately on my keyboard the caret and the tilde are next to each other, so you dont get the same smiley effect
@Natasha_Jay unsure if confused gnome face on, or confident woodpecker seen from above

@alex @Natasha_Jay

I'm thinking robe and wizard hat.

@Natasha_Jay I'm more interested in how this works.

is one Ctrl and one Shift?

@Natasha_Jay @ShredderFeeder I've used this layout my whole life and I still need three or four tries. One is shift and the other is either ctrl or alt gr

@cindayra @ShredderFeeder @Natasha_Jay

There is a very good reason why key labels are not printed all in the same column. It's to help you with what key is used to invoke what function of the key. What brand of keyboard/computer?

* Top left means SHIFT+key
* Bottom left means only keypress, no combo
* Bottom right means ALT-GR+key

Having them all in one colum would be confusing indeed. Young designer on hip company wanting to do *clean* design?

Notice how all the normal letters are printed in the top-left of the keys as upper case letters, not lower case?

Also, the alt-gr button is on the right side of the keyboard so label is on right side of keys. Supposed to be logical, we should not have to guess. Old style design when things make sense 🙂

@Natasha_Jay all keyboards need a Gnome Button(tm)
@Natasha_Jay the Danish variant of a nordic keyboard with separate Æ, Ø, and Å keys ;)
Your special key is there, I use the ^ in regular expressions, the ü in my name, and the ~ in the shell.
@Natasha_Jay I have that key too. can confirm. but it's not as 🥴
@Natasha_Jay
The key to the left of it looks like me when I have a really great idea.
@Natasha_Jay The last key one will ever need. (Motorola 9100-T Mobile Data Terminal)
